The reason we headed up to Johannesburg in March was to attend two of my good friends, Calliopi and Richie’s wedding. They had asked me to take a few photos, and I agreed.
I have known both of them for years. I first met Richie while working at a local pizza shop, and I met Calliopi because I’m good friends with her brother, Alfred.
The wedding was fantastic, a nice setup in her uncles garden, underneath a rather large Bedouin tent. All decorations were arranged by Calliopi and they really looked amazing.
It was also great catching up with her parents too, who I haven’t seen in years, and it was like time hadn’t passed.
I don’t normally photograph weddings, but couldn’t say no to friends. Here are a few selections from the big day.
